Photo Gallery: Cedros Island

During the first day on Cedros Island (May 19, 2001), expedition members endured an extremely long and difficult hike up to the first group of pines to be sampled in the central region of the island, close to the southern edge of the pine population. They relaxed briefly for lunch before continuing with mapping, tree descriptions, and cone collections. Photo credit: A. Colin Matheson, CSIRO, Canberra, Australia
